

Ikebana International (I.I.) is a non-profit cultural organization with headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, is dedicated to the promotion and appreciation of ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangement. Founded in 1956, it has now spread to over 60 countries/areas, with 165 chapters and membership of approximately 8,500.
The Toronto Chapter 208 was founded in 1981and is a chartered chapter of Ikebana International.
Meetings:
Monthly meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of most months in the evening, with a break for January and the summer months. To accomodate more members, the new season will hold some monthly meetings on Saturdays instead (times to be determined).
Place:
Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre
6 Garamond Court (Wynford and DVP)
A sign in the reception hall will indicate which room the meeting is being held at.
Time:
Wednesday meetings at held in the evening at 7:30 pm and usually run for 1.5 - 2 hours.
Charge at Door:
A $5 charge is levied to help cover the costs of the room rental, materials, etc.
Visitors are welcomed.
